The WFH (work from home) Series of Digital Art

As the pandemic-induced “new-normal” forced a WFH situation for the foreseeable future, I created two additional pieces of art on the same vein as my earlier post.

The second one saw me sitting in round-bottom-flask type of bubble, with WFH essentials (tech, snacks/junk food, music), with emails floating in and out of the narrow neck, while the world outside was being overrun by weeds (and COVID-19).

I always find the outline view fascinating. This one was quite complex and time consuming given how many leaves I had to draw with the pen tool. Got me wondering if it would’ve been faster if I had vectorized the images on Inkscape. Would that amount to cheating? Perhaps a topic for the next post.

The third one was inspired by the pastel environs that Moebius had brilliantly rendered so many years ago. Muted colors, noise, a touch of futurism and the essential sense of isolation – the perfect mix for a bleary WFH scene.

Simple colors and environ, but took a while of twiddling to make it look like this. Super fun to do.

And the first in the series.. just for kicks..

More to come? Depends on how long the pandemic lasts.
